Oral Pathology

The School of Dentistry Oral Maxillofacial Pathology Services laboratory offers histopathologic and diagnostic services of surgical specimens taken from the oral and maxillofacial regions of the body.

Dental and medical practitioners including general dentists, oral surgeons, endodontists, periodontists, pediatric dentists, dermatologists and otolaryngologists are invited to utilize our services. In addition, histochemistry, immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry procedures are available for special studies from the Department of Pathology, UMMC, at rates established by that department.

UMMC is the only facility in the state that has practicing oral and maxillofacial pathologists.
